Recently, a current affairs program of RTHK covers an interview with the Managing Director of Oriental Logistics, Mr. Gilbert Lau, which was shown early June on ATV. The program studies the development of Hong Kong as a commercial metropolis. Mr. Lau talks about the positioning of Hong Kong, and how would he make good use of the close inter-relations with the mainland, then turn the challenges arisen from mainland cities, into an opportunity for his company expansion. In the last ten years, he fully utilized the close connections with the mainland, thus expanded the business ten times more. Mr. Lau also shares about his views towards the next generation, which he thinks they need less sheltering and more challenges so could they contribute to the society in future days. |
